The CAMPCO, an institution known for its unwavering dedication to the farming community, celebrated its golden jubilee this year in Puttur, Karnataka. On this occasion, it successfully organized CAMPCO Fiesta 2023 – an interschool quiz competition for the 8th and 9th standards across three districts: Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Kasaragod. Over 12,000 students and 2,000 teachers representing 60 schools from the region participated in the competition, informs a press release issued by the organization.
The Grand Finale of CAMPCO Fiesta 2023, took place on August 27th, 2023, at the CAMPCO Chocolate Factory, Kemminje, Puttur.
Anagha VP and Vaishnavi M R from Ambika Vidyalaya, Puttur emerged as the triumphant duo, clinching the prestigious first place with a cash prize of Rs 25,000. The second place, accompanied by a cash award of Rs 15,000, was secured by Abhinav Roy and Thanush Rai from St. Mary’s High School, Belthangady. The third position was claimed by the team from BEMHSS Kasaragod – Sanjana M and Thrushali N Shetty – who received a prize of Rs 10,000.
The highlight of the event was taking all participants, teachers, and parents present at the Grand Finale –on a guided tour of the CAMPCO Chocolate Factory. This provided a first hand look into the chocolate production process, adding a tangible dimension of experiential learning about the event.
