While addressing the concluding program of Arecanut training camp at Bantwal in Karnataka, Campco president Sathishchandra said Campco would be willing to train 30 women to climb Arecanut trees, reports local media.
Many speakers suggested such camps should also be held in rural areas with the help of cooperative associations. Participants received identity cards and certificates on the occasion.
Several dignitaries including Campco vice-president attended the function. Some participants talked about their experiences during the camp.
The editor of Adike welcomed the guests and delivered an introductory address. ARDF official Dr Keshava Bhat proposed a vote of thanks.
