The Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Co-operative Limited (CAMPCO) will host the release of a new book titled ARECA NUT – History, Constituents, Cancer & Beyond on Wednesday at its head office in the city.
Authored by Dr. Prasanna Belur, a Ph.D. specialist in biochemical engineering, the book explores the historical evolution, chemical composition and health dimensions of areca nut, and is published by White Falcon Publishing.
The event will be attended by Prof. B. Ravi, Director of National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal; CAMPCO President S.R. Sathishchandra; Mahesh Puchhappady, President of the All India Areca Growers Association; and Vigneshwara Varmudy, retired Associate Professor and former Head of Economics at Vivekananda College.
