Speaking on the occasion of 47th AGM of CAMPCO, its president A. Kishore Kumar Kodgi said the cooperative would extend a Rs 5 lakh health insurance cover to its farmer members, reports the Hindu.
Kodgi also talked of procurement and said CAMPCO will collect coconut from farmers on a pilot basis in the near future.
He said initially coconuts would be purchased from farmers in Puttur and Sullia taluks but if the procurement went on well it could be extended to other places.
