After Mr. Praveenkumar Gandhi, the incumbent Vice Chairman of The Cosmos Co-operative Bank Ltd., resigned to provide opportunities for new Directors, CA Yashwant Kasar was unanimously elected as Vice Chairman at a recent Board of Directors meeting, announced the Bank’s Chairman, CA Milind Kale.
CA Yashwant Kasar is a distinguished Fellow Chartered Accountant, Information Systems Auditor (DISA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Project Management Professional (PMP), and a Fellow member of the Association of International Accountants, London.
He currently serves as a Regional Council Member of the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the term 2019-25. He was the Vice Chairman for 2022-23 and previously chaired the Pune Branch of WIRC for 2015-16. An expert in Tax Laws and Finance, CA Yashwant Kasar also holds the position of Secretary of CA-COB (Chartered Accountants in Co-operative Banks).
The Bank’s Internal Staff Union announced that Mr. Uday Lele, a manager with 30 years of service at Cosmos Bank, has been appointed as the Staff Representative. Mr. Lele holds a B. Com and LLB and was the incumbent President of Cosmos Bank Sevak Sangh.
