Budget strengthens ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ Vision: Anurag
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

BJP MP from Hamirpur and former Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said the Union Budget 2026-27 reinforces the spirit of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi,” transforming it from a slogan into a grassroots-driven development model.

He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah for strengthening India’s cooperative ecosystem.

Thakur highlighted that Rs 1,744.74 crore has been allocated to the Ministry of Cooperation, with Rs 364 crore earmarked for PACS computerisation to digitise thousands of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies and link them to core banking and DBT platforms. An additional Rs 26 crore will support IT interventions and governance reforms.

He noted that Himachal Pradesh stands to benefit significantly, especially its PACS, dairy and horticulture cooperatives. Continued Rs 500 crore support to National Cooperative Development Corporation and Rs 450 crore allocation to National Cooperative Exports Limited will boost storage, processing, exports and rural employment, strengthening self-reliance in the hill state.
