The Odisha State Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society – Boyanika-will soon carry out product diversification following the rise in demand for its products both at home and abroad, reports New Indian Express.
The society intends to train young weavers in 600 weavers cooperative societies impanelled under Boyanika. Managing Director Shyambhakta Mishra revealed this during the 66th foundation day of Boyanika.
As per official data, during the years 2021-22, Boyanika posted a sales turnover of Rs 128.85 crore and plans to increase it to Rs 163.90 crore during 2022-23.
