Bombay High Court has disallowed Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), from telecasting its television advertisement showing the ‘difference between ice creams and frozen desserts’ with immediate effect, reports Media report.
The court has found the advertisement disparaging.
The GCMMF has been airing its ice cream ad and making statements about frozen desserts for good measure.
Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) had filed a case on March 21, 2017 in the Bombay High Court seeking immediate removal of what is called the “misleading Amul ice cream advertisement”.
Kwality Wall’s sells both Ice Creams and Frozen Desserts in India and claims that its range of Frozen Desserts and Ice Creams contain milk solids/milk just like any other Ice Cream.
