The Bihar State Cooperative Marketing Federation’s Director Jitendra Kumar has won the state assembly election with a huge margin. He fought  from Asthawan constituency in Nalanda district of Bihar and was re-elected again for the fifth term.

His continual victory made the cooperators comment on his true sense of service to the people. Simple and down-to-earth, Kumar hosted cooperators of the country during Bodhgaya and Rajgir visit this February.

Besides, another director of Biscomaun Amita Bhushan lost the election by just a few votes. Bhushan fought from Begusarai on the ticket of Indian National Congress.

While Jitendra Kumar got 51,525 votes and his rival Anil Kumar (RJD) received 39,925 votes; Amita Bhushan got 69,663 votes and her rival Kundan Kumar (BJP) received 74,217 votes.

In the Bihar Assembly’s election NDA won 125 seats, with BJP winning 74 of these. Janata Dal (United) of Nitish Kumar won 43.  Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Singh who campaigned hard for RJD, emerged as the single largest party by winning 76 seats.
