Bihar to use mobile app to keep tab on co-ops

Bihar govt will use a mobile app-based platform that will keep tabs on financial indiscipline and irregularities to bring transparency in the functioning of co-operative bodies in the state, reports The Telegraph.

“The app-based platform will provide details of suspicious transactions in the co-operatives and will ensure transparency in their functioning,” said co-operative minister Rana Randhir Singh.

Principal secretary Atul Prasad said the app-based platform will track and alert officials about any suspicious financial transaction taking place in co-operative organisations under the state government.
