On Monday, a significant step was taken under the “Saat Nischay-3” vision to achieve the goal of “Samriddh Udyog – Sashakt Bihar.”

The Sugar Industry Department, Government of Bihar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories Limited, New Delhi, to promote the development and expansion of sugarcane-based industries in the state.

The agreement is expected to accelerate industrial growth in Bihar, create new employment opportunities, and ensure better prospects for sugarcane farmers. It also reflects a strategic push towards strengthening the cooperative sector and enhancing value-added agri-industries.

Officials noted that the collaboration will support modernisation, investment, and capacity expansion in the sugar sector, ultimately benefiting rural livelihoods.

The event witnessed the presence of senior officials, industry representatives, and stakeholders, marking a collective commitment to driving inclusive growth and economic empowerment across the state.
