Bihar Cooperation Minister holds meeting of DCCBs

Bihar Cooperation Minister Dr Prem Kumar presided over the meeting of Chairmen and MDs of district cooperative banks of the state at the head office of Bihar State Cooperative Bank on Tuesday.

On this occasion, Bihar State Cooperative Bank Chairman Ramesh Chandra Chaubey gave a rousing welcome to the minister in the presence of all DCCBs’ representatives.

In the meeting, the Cooperation Minister directed the DCCBs’ representatives to give special focus in lowering the NPA levels, especially Khagaria, Purnia and Gopalganj DCCBs where NPA rose to more than 20 percent.

The minister said that the government is working on strengthening the PACS of the state and hopes that the computerization of PACS will be done in the next five years. A few of them are already compuertized.
