Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, along with Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Chairman of Banas Dairy, and senior MoC officials, visited on Monday to Asia’s largest dairy cooperative, Banas Dairy, and its pioneering units in Banaskantha.
The delegation toured several facilities, including the modern Potato Processing and Ice-Cream Plant, as well as the Banas Save Soil Lab at Tharad. The visit highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to promoting cooperative-led, sustainable development in line with national priorities.
During the visit, a meeting with key stakeholders was organized to deliberate on innovations in dairy and allied sectors, strengthen partnerships, and draw a roadmap for inclusive growth. The focus remained on adopting advanced technologies, diversifying cooperative ventures, and enhancing farmer-centric initiatives.
Guided by the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and under the leadership of Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation Amit Shah, the Ministry of Cooperation has been driving White Revolution 2.0 in Gujarat.
Banas Dairy, as one of India’s largest cooperative success stories, stands at the forefront of this transformation, serving as a model for sustainable rural prosperity through the cooperative model.
