Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, chaired the third meeting of the National Level Coordination Committee to review the rollout of the World’s Largest Grain Storage Plan in the cooperative sector.
Officials assessed the Action Taken Report and discussions from the previous meeting held on 17 January 2025. States and Union Territories shared updates on the extended pilot phase, during which foundation stones for 500 godowns were laid.
The review also covered progress toward the construction target of 29,000 storage facilities nationwide. Senior representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Corporation of India, Central Warehousing Corporation and national cooperative bodies participated in the deliberations.
