Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperation, chaired a virtual meeting on April 7, 2026, to review the progress of Bharat Taxi as part of efforts to strengthen cooperative-driven mobility services. The meeting was held from Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan in New Delhi.

Discussions focused on enhancing service efficiency, deepening digital integration, and improving last-mile connectivity to make the platform more accessible and user-friendly. Emphasis was also laid on ensuring greater benefits for both drivers and passengers through a technology-enabled, cooperative-based ecosystem.

Senior officials including Pankaj Kumar Bansal and Raman Kumar participated in the review, along with other representatives from the Ministry and Bharat Taxi.

The initiative reflects the government’s broader push to leverage cooperative models in emerging sectors, aligning with the vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” and expanding inclusive, sustainable mobility solutions across the country.
