The 24th National Level Handloom Expo opened at the Unit-III IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar, highlighting the strength of India’s handloom cooperatives and the country’s rich textile heritage.

The expo is organised by the Odisha State Handloom Weavers’ Cooperative Society Ltd. (Boyanika) and sponsored by the Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department, Government of Odisha. The event provides a major marketing platform for cooperative weavers and artisan groups from Odisha and other states.

A total of 80 stalls have been set up, featuring handloom cooperatives from across the country. These cooperatives are showcasing a wide range of handwoven products, including Odisha Ikat (Bandha) fabrics and distinctive weaves from various regions of India. A special attraction is the theme pavilion inspired by the Dhauli Peace Pagoda, designed by the Weavers Service Centre, Bhubaneswar.

The expo will remain open until February 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Organisers expect a business turnover of around Rs 10 crore, reinforcing the expo’s role in strengthening cooperative livelihoods and promoting sustainable handloom enterprises.
