The initiative is promoted by eight major cooperative institutions: National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO), Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF/AMUL), National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED), National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), and National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL).
Bharat Taxi achieved its first public milestone on 10th November 2025 with a soft launch at Delhi Airport. The Driver App went live in Delhi on 13th November 2025 and in Rajkot on 26th November 2025, attracting over 37,000 driver registrations by 25th November 2025.
