The District Central Cooperative Bank conducted elections for seven director posts, declaring results for three seats on Sunday, media reports say.
MLA Laxman Savadi (Athani), Appasaheb Kulagode (Raibag), and Mallappa Yadawad (Ramdurg) were elected, representing Katti-Savadi and Jolle-Jarkiholi panels. Results for four seats are withheld by Karnataka High Court orders; final announcement is due on October 28.
The bank has 20 directors, 16 elected, nine unopposed. Panels claim victories among unanimous winners, while leaders assured smooth administration.
Minister Satish Jarkiholi and colleagues emphasized future cooperation and confirmed the bank’s centenary celebrations in Belagavi in the coming months.
