In a major milestone for India’s cooperative credit sector, Karnataka-based Shri Beereshwar Cooperative Credit Society Ltd., one of South India’s largest multi-state credit cooperative societies, announced that its total business has crossed Rs 9,200 crore during FY 2025-26.
The announcement was made at the Society’s 36th Annual General Meeting held at Shivashankar Jolle Public (CBSE) School, Nanadi in Belagavi district.
The AGM was led by founder and cooperative leader Annasaheb Jolle along with co-founder Shashikala A. Jolle. Addressing shareholders, Society Chairman Appasaheb Shivaram Jolle said the society recorded a net profit of Rs 51.04 crore and approved a 12% dividend for shareholders.
The Society’s deposits surged to Rs 5,183.08 crore as on March 31, 2026, compared to Rs 4,338.58 crore in the previous financial year. Loans and advances also witnessed strong growth, rising to Rs 3,838.84 crore from Rs 3,313.79 crore last year. Membership crossed 4.45 lakh, while reserves and other funds increased to Rs 244.25 crore.
Presenting the audited financial statements, General Manager (I/C) Bahadur A. Gurav highlighted the Society’s consistent financial growth and expansion plans. The Society currently operates through 233 branches across Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Goa, including seven new branches opened during the year.
In a significant expansion move, the AGM resolved to seek approval from the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) to open 56 additional branches across Karnataka and Maharashtra.
