Tribune reports because of dissensions in the Congress party, the election to the post of chairman of Bathinda Central Cooperative Bank was postponed. The warring factions want their own leaders to grab the post.
Following the postponement of the election, leaders are levelling accusations at one another. One of the cabinet ministers has been accused of foisting his own as the chairman on the bank.
Meanwhile Akali Dal has charged the Congress government with indulging in irregularities in the nomination for the elections to the board of directors of the bank.
