Niraj Kumar Bansod (IAS) has been appointed as the Private Secretary to the Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation Amit Shah in the Ministry of Cooperation.
The letter of his appointment was released on Thursday and signed by Pooja Jain, Deputy Secretary to GOI.
According to the office memorandum, “Appointment of Shri Niraj Kumar Bansod (IAS) as Private Secretary to the Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation Amit Shah in the Ministry of Cooperation at the level of Director for a period upto 29.08.2027 with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as PS to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest”.
Bansod is a 2008-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Chhattisgarh cadre. Presently, he is serving as Director in the Cabinet Secretariat.
He had served as CEO of Bilaspur Zila Panchayat and Sukma District Collector in his previous assignments.
