Pankaj Kumar Bansal, IAS, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, reviewed the performance of national- and state-level cooperative institutions in Bihar on Thursday. During the review meeting of the Bihar State Cooperative Bank, the Additional Secretary offered key suggestions to strengthen the bank’s growth, governance, and operational efficiency.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary, Cooperation Department, Bihar; Chairman of BISCOMAUN-cum-NCCF Vishal Singh; Chairman of the Bihar State Cooperative Bank Ramesh Chandra Chaubey; the Bank’s Managing Director; the Managing Director of VEGFED; and other senior officials.
Following the meeting, the Additional Secretary inaugurated several Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) outlets. Products such as makhana, moong dal, marua flour, black wheat flour, dalia, and mushroom-based cattle feed were launched through the Bariyahi Kisan Producer Organisation Cooperative Society, Saharsa, guided by the Bihar State Cooperative Bank.
He also inaugurated an incense stick (agarbatti) outlet of the Sukrabegchak Kisan Producer Organisation Cooperative Society, Khusrupur, Patna, mentored by the Patliputra District Central Cooperative Bank.
