Criminal elements posing as gamblers have looted Sh 115 million from a Cooperative Bank of Kenya, reports a foreign news outlet. Cosmos Bank of India had also similarly fallen prey to the hacking frauds a few years ago.
In the case of the Cooperative Bank of Kenya, the fraudsters were so clever that what they needed to make away with the money was just an account and a mobile phone.
Meanwhile, the bank’s clients are raising questions over the safety of information technology systems at the bank.
