Balu G. Iyer, Regional Director of ICA-AP will address Indian Cooperators at NCUI Auditorium on 20th September on “Cooperatives and Sustainable Development Goals”
The event being organized by NCUI will coincide with the apex body’s Annual General Body Meeting.
The UNO had adopted in 2015 the Agenda for Sustainable Development goals. The ambitious agenda sets a course to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all by 2030. The International Co-operative Alliance (ICA), as the global voice of the movement, is committed to educating co-operatives about these goals.
Balu will be the Keynote Speaker of the Symposium. He will speak on how the cooperatives need to align their work with the SDGs. His address will be followed by interaction with the audience.
NCUI has invited all stakeholders to participate in the event. Ritesh Dey, Deputy Director of NCUI is coordinating the event.
