According to an online news outlet, the govt of Odisha has told the state assembly it will soon make the Badamba cooperative sugar mill operational. The company that earlier managed the sugar mill has proved to be a fly by night company, the cooperative minister informed the Odisha Assembly.
Meanwhile, the state crime branch is investigating the irregularities committed by the company and the controversial decision of the registrar of cooperative societies to give no objection certificate to the company is also being enquired into, says the minister.
A case filed by the state govt against the fake company is pending in the High Court.
