The Annual General Meeting of the Assam State Cooperative Apex Bank (ACAB) scheduled for 21st May 2021, has been postponed due to Covid-19.
Besides, the election of the bank for which voting is slated for today has also been postponed. “We have to take the approval of the shareholders for conducting the election and this is to be taken in the AGM but now that the AGM has been postponed, the election will not be held, ” informed Dombaru Saikai, MD of the bank.
The board tenure is completing on 26th May 2021 and the government will take a call on the matter. The formalities related to the election are already done and a list of candidates who are in fray have been also published.
