LINAC-RTC, Guwahati, recently organized a one-day training programme on Business Diversification of Multipurpose Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (M-PACS) in Morigaon district.
The initiative aimed to strengthen cooperative institutions by promoting new business avenues and enhancing operational capacity at the grassroots level.
The programme was attended by representatives of cooperatives from across the district. The CEO of ASCU and the DCEDO, Morigaon, delivered keynote lectures highlighting the importance of diversification for sustainability and growth of M-PACS.
Participants were sensitized about various initiatives of the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, designed to empower cooperative societies nationwide. The sessions also provided detailed insights into the objectives and activities of National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL), National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL), and Bharat Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL).
