The Assam government has unveiled an Integrated Portal-cum-Website for the Office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS), marking a leap in digital governance, media reports say.
Introduced during the 3rd State Cooperative Development Committee meeting at Dispur, the Rs 3 crore project, developed under the Ministry of Cooperation’s RCS Office Computerization Scheme, provides modern IT infrastructure to all district and sub-divisional RCS offices.
Featuring 13 modules covering registration, audit, elections, grievances, and accounts, the platform promises transparency, faster approvals, reduced paperwork, real-time monitoring, and enhanced accessibility for cooperatives, aiding policy planning and service delivery across Assam.
