Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the three-day Cooperative Mela organized by the cooperative dept of the Assam govt. at the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati on Wednesday, reports a news outlet.
The chief minister showed great interest in products showcased by cooperative societies. He also praised the effort of the cooperative dept to work for the welfare of the common people.
It is worth mentioning that the Assam Government has provided financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each to societies 100-years old.
