The Madras High Court Bench here on Tuesday issued bailable arrest warrants against Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies (Housing) and president of Thanjavur City Corporation Employees’ Cooperative Housing Society in Thanjavur district for not appearing before the court despite a direction issued on June 19.
Irked over the absence of the two officials to assist an Additional Government Pleader in a case filed by a former employee of the cooperative society seeking disbursal of gratuity amount, the court has directed the Thanjavur Superintendent of Police to execute the warrants and produce the duo before the court on July 20.
