The Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (APCOB) has brought laurels to the State by securing the Second Prize for Overall Performance under the Three-Tier Structure for 2024–25 at the National Cooperative Conference held in Shimla on September 13–14.
The award was presented to APCOB Chairman Ganni Veeranjaneyulu by Dileep Sanghani, Chairman of IFFCO and President of NCUI, in the presence of top cooperative leaders including Konduru Ravinder Rao, Chairman of NAFSCOB, and Dr. R. Shreenath Reddy, Managing Director of APCOB.
The honour marks a remarkable turnaround for APCOB, which faced severe setbacks after the 2015 bifurcation, retaining just two branches and a business volume of Rs 7,967 crore.
Over the past decade, the Bank has grown six-fold, crossing Rs 46,430 crore in business by March 2025, with deposits of Rs 11,002 crore and loans of Rs 35,428 crore.
Pioneering digitalisation, APCOB has computerised 99.7% of PACS, introduced PACS Development Cells, built over 1,000 godowns, diversified PACS activities into fuel outlets, fertilizer shops, and CSCs, and professionalised HR policies for over 5,500 employees.
This recognition cements APCOB’s place among India’s top-performing State Cooperative Banks and reaffirms its vision to expand cooperative credit’s share in Andhra Pradesh from 5% to 25%.
