Andhra Pradesh will establish cooperative credit societies across all Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Kapu corporations on the lines of the Brahmin Cooperative Credit Society, Minister for BC and EWS Welfare S. Savita announced on Friday, media reports say.
The initiative aims to promote entrepreneurship by ensuring at least one entrepreneur in every household, with priority access for EWS communities in MSME parks across constituencies.
Reviewing welfare schemes at a meeting with chairpersons and directors of EWS and Kapu corporations at the Secretariat, the minister sought feedback from community associations.
She said the government is committed to empowering Brahmin, Arya Vysya, Kamma, Reddy, Kshatriya, Kapu and other economically backward communities through inclusive financial and development support.
