The Andhra Pradesh State Agricultural Co-operative Societies Employees’ Union, affiliated to CITU, staged a protest demanding immediate implementation of G.O. 36 and resolution of long-pending issues, media reports say.
Union leaders said though the government had approved HR policy and pay scales for PACS employees, district officials failed to enforce them.
Despite directions from Minister K. Atchannaidu and the Special Secretary for Cooperation, no action was taken.
The union also sought pending pay revisions, higher gratuity, increased retirement age, insurance cover, and regularisation of temporary staff.
