Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed that assigned lands mortgaged with Primary Cooperative Societies up to 1999 be removed from the 22-A prohibited list.
The instruction came during a review meeting on Revenue Services held at the Secretariat, where the Chief Minister issued several land-related directives, including those connected to cooperative-linked landholders.
Officials informed the Chief Minister that 6,846 applications have been filed since June 2024 seeking removal of land details from the 22-A list. Responding to this, the Chief Minister ordered speedy clearance of pending cases, including those related to ex-servicemen, political sufferers, freedom fighters, and holders of pre-1954 assigned lands, along with cases involving lands mortgaged with Primary Cooperative Societies.
During the meeting, other major directions were issued regarding land resurvey, Pattadar Passbooks, and online land databases, while the directive on removing cooperative-linked assigned lands from the 22-A list formed an important part of the review.
