Newswire quotes a Sri Lankan news agency saying Sri Lankan dairy farms are to be sold to India’s Amul Dairy.
It quotes Sri Lankan MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake who says the necessary cabinet approval has already been sought for the same.
“Plans are underway to sell 33 dairy farms owned by the National Livestock Development Board (NLDB), including Milco and Highland”, Dissanayake alleged.
The co-op titan GCMMF is, however, silent on the issue.
