GCMMF, maker of Amul dairy products, will invest Rs 600 crore in an integrated plant in Kolkata, West Bengal, media reports say.
Announced at the Bengal Global Business Summit, the facility will house the world’s largest curd manufacturing plant, processing 15 lakh litres of milk and 10 lakh kg of curd daily.
Managing Director Jayen Mehta highlighted this expansion amid rising regional demand.
GCMMF, with Rs 59,445 crore turnover in 2023-24 and 36 lakh contributing farmers, expects double-digit growth. A global dairy leader, it exports to 50 countries, recently entering the US market. This investment reinforces Amul’s strong market presence and future growth.
