In a remarkable step toward women’s empowerment and rural self-reliance, Ms. Bhavna Gondaliya, President of Amreli (Gujarat) based Dhari Agriculture Producer and Processing Cooperative Society Ltd. (FPO), has launched an ambitious initiative to establish a “Swadeshi Mall” in Amreli district.
The mall will serve as a unique platform to promote locally produced agricultural and homemade food products prepared by women’s self-help groups and small farmers. Items such as spices, oils, pickles, papads, pulses, snacks, and handmade goods will be sold under one roof, providing consumers with authentic, homegrown products.
Ms. Gondaliya said, “The Swadeshi Mall is not just a commercial initiative but a strong step toward the economic empowerment of women and recognition of our farmers’ hard work. Our aim is to be truly ‘Vocal for Local’ and help realize the dream of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
The mall will feature three sections-Natural Products, Organic Products, and Regular Products-and will be fully managed by the organization. Farmers and women producers can register at the Bhagyalaxmi Mahila Credit Society Office, Manekpara.
Starting from Amreli, the initiative envisions expanding the Swadeshi Mall model to other districts of Gujarat soon.
