A group of women linked to cooperative societies in Gujarat’s Amreli district has embarked on a specialised training programme in Delhi to enhance their skills in fertiliser marketing and management. The initiative, organised by the Amreli District Cooperative Union, aims to strengthen grassroots participation of women in the cooperative sector.
In the first batch, 12 women have begun a four-day intensive programme, while a larger group of 32 women has been deputed for a three-day training module. The sessions are being conducted with support from leading cooperative institutions including IFFCO, NCUI, NAFED and ICA.
The programme seeks to empower women with technical and managerial expertise in fertiliser distribution.
