Dileepbhai Sanghani received a hero’s welcome on his return to Amreli after winning the election of Gujcomasol. Thousands of supporters rushed to be the first to garland him even as Sanghani struggled to meet each of them individually.
It turned into a mega rally with Sanghani standing in a flower-decked vehicle and traversing the streets of Amreli at a slow pace so that everyone has a chance to felicitate him on Thursday.
The cadre was also happy because it was for the first time that BJP had grabbed the chairmanship of marketing federation, GUCOMASOL from Congress. And it happened through such an endearing leader like Sanghani, said many of his supporters.
It bears recall that Sanghani won uncontested as Congress did not have the required number and the state BJP suppressed the dissidence among its members. Govindbhai Parmar was declared elected Vice-Chairman along with
Sanghani.
In GUJCOMASOL elections Congress had just three Directors and it was not in a position to throw a challenge. There were some resistance to Sanghani’s candidature from within the BJP but the Party leadership threw its weight behind him.
One of his followers posted the photograph of the event on social media where Sanghani was seen being drowned with garlands which nearly choked him. An emotional Sanghani thanked one and all profusely.
