Sanjay Mardikar and Balasaheb Chhate have been elected unopposed as the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Amravati District Cooperative Board, in an election held last week.
It bears recall that the Sahakar Panel under the leadership of Amravati District Cooperative President Bablu Deshmukh won all the seats on the board. Out of 21 seats, 18 were elected unopposed and the elections were held for three seats.
The head office of the board has been operating at the premises of Amravati District Cooperative Board for many years. The board is the apex body of district cooperatives working to strengthen the cooperative movement in the country.
