Amreli District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union celebrated “Sharad Purnima” last week in which Gujarat BJP President Jitu Vaghani was the Chief Guest. AMR Dairy is one of milk unions of GCMMF.
Talking to Indian Cooperative AMR Dairy founder chairman and a well-known cooperator Dileepbhai Sanghani said “Sharad Purnima” is celebrated every year as we see it as the Milk Day. In it everybody is welcomed to participate, added Sanghani who recently returned from overseas after attending an international co-op event as an IFFCO delegate.
The programme starts in the evening with Garba (dance) and other cultural performances. The celebrations, in which people participates with enthusiasm continue up to late evening. Women’s of Amreli district also participated in a large number.
Exploiting the occasion for mutual benefits, AMR Dairy chairman Ashwinbhai Sawalia addressed a gathering of about 5,0000 people and explained to it the techniques of cattle breeding. Sawalia also emphasized on aspects of growth of the Milk Union.
Union Minister of State for Agriculture Parshottam Rupala is also on the board of AMR Dairy. He was expected to participate but his preoccupations disallowed him to do so, said one of the organizers.
