Akalis allege wrong-doing in Bathinda DCCB elections

HT reports Akali leaders’ allegation is that the elections for the posts of directors of the Bathinda Central Cooperative Bank are being manipulated by Congress leaders with the help of the govt. machinery.

Akali sources say their party candidates were stopped by police from filing nomination papers at the bank office. The elections will take place on 26th Dec.

However, Congress party and police have denied allegations. Meanwhile, informed sources say the Congress alone has filed nomination papers nine zones.
