Gujarat State Cooperative Bank Chairman Ajay Patel greeted Shankar Chaudhary and Jetha Bharwad for being elected unopposed as the speaker and deputy speaker during the first session of the 15th State Assembly in Gandhinagar on Tuesday respectively.
The newly elected speaker and deputy speaker are from the cooperative background and the news of their elections has cheered up cooperators.
Chaudhary is the Vice-Chairman and Bharwad is on the board of GSC Bank.
Chaudhary won the Tharad seat in north Gujarat whereas Jethabhai Bharwad contested the election as the BJP candidate from Shehera constituency.
