Kolhapur’s Ajara Urban Cooperative Bank, one of the petitioners in the recently filed case before the Kolhapur Bench of the Bombay High Court concerning directors’ tenure, has successfully conducted its board elections and received approval from the Cooperative Election Authority under the Union Ministry of Cooperation.
All 18 seats on the board of directors were elected unopposed.
From the general category, the elected directors are Ashok Charati, Jaywant Kharade, Shaila Toaple, Vijaykumar Patil, Vijay Sabanis, Ashok Patil, Sagar Kurunkar, Siddesh Naik, Ananda Phadake, Basavaraj Mahalank, Hrishikesh Satoskar, Kishor Bhussari, Kiran Patil, Kanhoba Malve and Sunil Deshpande.
From the women category, Sandhyatal Vatave and Suresh Kunda Dang were elected, while Sanjay Vishnu Chavan was elected from the SC/ST category.
The bank has a business mix of more than Rs 1,600 crore and operates 36 branches, including its head office, across Maharashtra and Karnataka.
