Advt cases against Amul rejected

The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) has rejected three petitions filed against the dairy cooperative Amul, PTI reports. The petitions had been filed against the cooperative for saying in its advert that plant-based products like soya beverages are not milk.

Amul said three companies that filed complaints against it were Beauty Without Cruelty (BWC), People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and Sharan India.

The ASCI upheld the correctness of Amul’s contentions in the Advertisement. It is worth mentioning that Amul is one of the biggest milk suppliers in the country.
