In the ongoing election of the board of directors of Etawah District Central Cooperative Bank, Aditya Yadav the Son of former Cooperative Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shivpal Singh and the IFFCO Director has filed a nomination for the post of director on Monday.
The election of 14 directors of the bank is slated for 27th November and the election of Chairman and Vice-Chairman will be held on 28th September 2021. It is being reported that there are 310 members eligible to cast their vote in the election.
The City Magistrate Umesh Kumar Mishra has been appointed as the Returning Officer.
It bears recall that the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party President Shivpal Singh Yadav has a record of holding the post of Etawah DCCB Chairman for 33 consecutive years. He was elected for the first time in the year 1988 as the chairman of the cooperative bank. After this, he was continuously elected to this post.
It is said as per the cooperative act, Shivpal is not eligible to contest the election so he has fielded his son.
