The EOW of Pune crime branch has arrested three staff members of Dhankawadi-based Adarsh Nagri Sahakari Patsanstha for alleged involvement in Rs 6.78 crore scam, reports Hindustan Times.
The scam broke in the cooperative society between 1999 and 2018 wherein 161 depositors were defrauded.
FIR was lodged based on a complaint made by the coop. dept’s auditor against the credit co-operative society staff.
The FIR has been lodged under various Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors Act.
