Rajasthan based Adarsh Co-operative Bank has officially changed its name to Mount Nagarik Sahakari Bank Ltd, following approvals granted by the Reserve Bank of India, the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, the Union Ministry of Cooperation, and other competent authorities.
The name change was formally announced through a public notice issued by the bank’s management.
The bank has informed all shareholders, depositors, borrowers, lenders, creditors, and the general public that the name change will have no impact on their existing rights and obligations. All financial commitments, including loans, deposits, and agreements entered into under the previous name, will remain legally valid and binding under the new name.
It has also been clarified that all payments due to or from Adarsh Co-operative Bank Ltd, including share capital, deposits, and other dues,will now be processed under the name Mount Nagarik Sahakari Bank Ltd. Similarly, all ongoing transactions such as loans, investments, and property or mortgage dealings will continue seamlessly under the new identity.
The name change has officially come into effect from 5th June 2025. Moving forward, all references to the bank should use the new name. The bank has urged the public and all stakeholders to refrain from using the old name in any formal or informal communication.
