A N Nagar Co-op Bank in news

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has refused to allow ED to probe into alleged financial irregularities committed allegedly by opposition MLA P.K. Kunhalikutty on the ground that the central agency is not required to carry out any investigation into the cooperative sector of the state, reports Indian Express.

The allegation is that Kunahalikutty has swindled Rs 1,021 crore at party-controlled A N Nagar Cooperative Bank in Malappuram.

Meanwhile, Kerala’s cooperative department has initiated action against A R Nagar Cooperative Bank but has stopped its action for the time being due to a stay from the court.
