According to the Business Standard reports, Tripura chief minister Manik Saha said 3 lakh cooperative societies would come up in Tripura over the next five years.
The Chief Minister urged such organisations to work for creating jobs, especially for women in the state.
Saha added that apart from building new cooperative societies, the weaker ones would be put into life again through fund infusion, the chief minister assured.
The chief minister also praised SHGs, LAMPS and PACS for strengthening the rural economy.
